Stocks: Read it and Weep

StoxBroadcasters probably wish they could have called in sick last week when it comes to having shares for sale in the stock market. It was a lousy week for stocks in general, and in the broadcast sector, suffice it to say that a lot of red ink was spilled.


Among the radio and televisions we follow, the big winner was Salem. Salem’s accomplishment: Breaking even.

Every single other stock was in the red.

Three on the radio side fell by double digits, and two more were close.

Television wasn’t quite as gory, but the chart is full of minuses across the board.
