Morning Meteorologist/Reporter


Pocatello, ID – KPVI Channel 6 in Pocatello, Idaho has a full time opening for a Morning Weather Anchor/Reporter for our NBC station. Qualified candidates will have some experience producing and presenting weathercasts along with strong reporting, shooting, writing and editing skills. We’re looking for someone who can create accurate, understandable and energetic weathercasts, preferably with a degree in Meteorology. You must have passion for news and weather, the ability to work well with others and a sense of urgency and immediacy.

Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, Salt Lake City, Boise are just a few hours away. Spectacular activities are in every direction, including snow skiing, hiking, biking, rafting and others.

Weather here is a challenge to forecast, with dynamic changes and four full seasons. We have a Weather Company (WSI) Max system, with Storm Tracker, Max Studio, lightning data and other tools.

As for reporting, we need someone who can enterprise stories, ask questions and produce compelling news stories and live shots.
