The Multicultural Media, Telecom and Internet Council (MMTC) on Friday submitted comments in response to the FCC’s decision to review its broadcast ownership rules and other rules adopted according to Section 202 of the Telecommunications Act of 1996.
That would be the 2022 Quadrennial Regulatory Review, something the Commission wishes to commence even though its 2018 review remains incomplete.
What does the MMTC say? It has a wholly divergent view of thawing the FCC’s broadcast ownership rules any further than what the NAB and top broadcasters think.
