Talk about a bump in market size: the individual who has been serving as General Manager of Gray Local Media‘s TV station in Paducah, Ky., and Cape Girardeau, Mo., for the past seven years has just been given the keys to the company’s trio of TV properties serving Northeastern Ohio.
Chris Conroy has been named General Manager of CBS affiliate WOIO-19, The CW Network-aligned WUAB-43, and WTCL-LD 6 “Telemundo Cleveland.”
He succeeds David Hughes, who was named GM of WFSB-3 in Hartford in mid-June 2025.
Conroy’s prior experience includes a similar role overseeing Gray-owned KAIT-TV in Jonesboro, Ark., where he launched the market’s NBC affiliate.
He’s also served as Director of Marketing/Regional Director of Marketing for WMC-TV 5 in Memphis. Before that, he was VP of Creative Services for WBRC “FOX6” in Birmingham.
Conroy began his career in 1998 as a Promotion Manager at WAGA “FOX5” in Atlanta.
