Cumulus Media’s Westwood One arm has shifted its operational structure through a department realignment that sees Tim Seymour rise to SVP/Operations of the multiplatform syndicated programming provider.

In an announcement made Monday, the Cumulus-owned entity said it created “a centralized operational group” in an effort to best align its business and operational needs, resources and internal expertise. Westwood One COO Charles Steinhauer is directing the changes.

First is the integration of the Business Operations and Research Teams. “This move will lead to quicker response times to client requests, an enhanced ability to focus on advertiser needs and accountability, the ability to better support its partner and producer clients’ business goals, and a renewed focus on its affiliate sales process by providing actionable information to its station partners,” the company said.

Seymour — the former VP/Research, will oversee the newly formed group with the following direct reports:

  • Consolidated Business Operations and Research Teams under VP Jennifer Baez
  • Traffic under SVP Jim Maurer and Sr. Director of Traffic Julie Kim
  • Affiliates Services under VP Fiona Brennan
  • Newly created Partner Relations, under Director Becky Bennett

“Tim is the perfect choice to oversee our company operations while I focus on industry and company strategic initiatives,” Steinhauer said. “Finding ways to enhance the strength in our leadership team at every level allows us to optimize service for our clients and partners.”

Seymour began his career in 2001 as a sales associate for ABC Radio Networks, rising through the ranks as the entity was acquired by Citadel and, later, by Cumulus.
