Univision Googles Up a Digital Exec

Univision Communications, Inc.The leading Hispanic broadcaster in the United States has been pursuing an aggressive expansion into digital realms, and to that end it has hired an executive from one of the biggest digital entities in existence: Google.


The exec is Mark Lopez, who is coming aboard at Univision as EVP/GM of Univision Digital.

Lopez will report to Isaac Lee, president of News and Digital for UCI and CEO of Fusion.

At Google, he was head of U.S. Hispanic Audience Sales since 2010, with responsibility for growing the internet giant’s presence in the Hispanic media business.
