Univision Creates Top Radio Position

Alejandro-NietoUnivision has created a top radio executive position and hired an executive from Spain’s radio network Cadena SER, to lead its 67 radio stations.


Univision has appointed Alejandro Nieto Molina as senior vice president and general manager, Radio. He will be responsible for leading strategy and content implementation efforts across Univision Radio as well as day-to-day operations. Based in Miami, Molina will report to John Eck, chief Local Media officer and executive vice president of Technology, Operations and Engineering.

Molina began his radio career as a DJ and created successful music formats in Columbia; he was also host/director of News and Talk shows at Caracol Radio Colombia, as well as director of Programming of Caracol. He went from there to vice president of programming for Prisa Radio where he was in charge of executing programming strategy for stations in Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market.

Molina went to Spain’s Cadena SER in 2011.
