CBSCBS and Fox are exploring the possibility of auctioning off TV stations; TVB and the Ad Council are fighting impaired driving; Verizon is adding horse programming, and Meredith is sampling wines.


*According to the LA Times, the biggest of the big are considering playing ball in the incentive auction – CBS and Fox. CBS’s Les Moonves says a big paycheck for the kid sister of a TV duopoly is getting his attention.

* TVB and the Ad Council are joining with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on PSAs to help prevent drunk driving over the holidays. Donated time from local broadcasters will add to over $34M in prior support for similar campaigns.

* Verizon’s FiOS service will carry horse-oriented channel RIDE TV, a young entrant into the video programming universe which made its debut 10/1/14.

* Meredith is partnering with Women of the Vine to add segments on various aspects of serving and enjoying wine on its syndicated “The Better Show.” The branded segments will be sponsored by Wine Shop at Home.
