TribuneThe membership of Tribune Broadcasting in the Television Advertising Bureau goes back 15 years, making its latest interaction with the industry organization not all that surprising, but nice nevertheless.

What Tribune did was enroll the 19 stations it acquired from Local TV LLC with TVB, taking its total participation level to 42 television stations with a combined reach of 50 million US television households.

“Tribune Broadcasting has been a member of TVB for fifteen years and we are thrilled to have the 19 stations we acquired from Local TV become TVB’s newest members. The research, resources and other services that TVB offers are extremely helpful,” said Larry Wert, President, Tribune Broadcasting. “Investing in TVB memberships for all our stations will provide them with more tools to grow broadcast revenue and maximize advertising.”

Steve Lanzano, TVB President and CEO added, “We are delighted to add Local TV LLC to our growing membership. We are very proud of our longstanding and now expanded relationship with Tribune, and we look forward to continuing to provide great value and service to our members in the years to come.” Lanzano continued, “TVB is committed to providing our member stations with the tools and services they need to quantify the value of local broadcast television and deliver effective local marketing solutions that generate results for advertising clients. As the media landscape continues to rapidly evolve, it is important to bring key industry participants together. The participation of broadcast groups large and small, as well as individual member stations, is critical to TVB’s overall efforts.”
