Tom Barnard reups with KQRS

CumulusMorning Show Host Tom Barnard will stay with Cumulus’ Classic Rocker 92KQRS Minneapolis. “I am very happy to sign a new multi-year contract that keeps me home at KQRS.  Thanks to our listeners for making this show possible,” said Barnard.


He joined KQ in the spring 1986 and quickly moved the Arbriton ratings from 12th place to 1st place in the Minneapolis/St. Paul market.  Tom has been honored and recognized by the broadcast industry on many occasions, including winning the coveted Marconi award in 2006.  Long time KQ Operations Manager Dave Hamilton, who hired Barnard, weighed in, “On behalf of the staff and management of KQRS/Cumulus we are thrilled to announce that Tom Barnard has signed a new contract that will keep him on the radio here for years to come.   The KQ Morning Show, led by Tom Barnard, has been one of the most listened to radio programs in America for over 26 years.  We’re glad to know, that tradition of excellence will carry on well into the future”.

The KQRS Morning Show airs Monday – Friday from 5:30am – 10:00am on 92.5 FM.
