TheRiverOn 3/14, Great Eastern Radio will launch AAA “106.7 The River” on W294AB (100 watts @ 300 ft. HAAT) fed by the HD2 channel of classic rocker WHDQ-FM 106.1 Claremont, NH. The River will serve the “Upper Valley” Hanover-Lebanon market that also includes Hartford, Norwich and Woodstock. Great Eastern also owns WFYX, WGXL, WWOD, WTSL, WTSV and WXXK.

The River will serve an area along the New Hampshire/Vermont border including the Lebanon, Hanover, Hartford, Norwich and Woodstock.

“This is a very exciting time for radio in the Upper Valley,” said Great Eastern Radio VP of Programming Justin Tyler. “After evaluating the entire media landscape in the Lebanon-Hanover market, we came to the conclusion that a locally focused AAA station that cares about our immediate listening area instead of a market 100 miles away would be the best thing to do for the community.”
