Telemundo has best February ever

On the heels of delivering its best year and January in Telemundo history, the network had the best February audience numbers on record during Monday through Sunday prime, delivering 1,172,000 total viewers, up +8% year over year, fueled by the highly rated novela “Una Maid en Manhattan,” which grew the time period at 8pm by +51% among total viewers and “Flor Salvaje,” which grew the time period in February at 9pm by +23% among total viewers, according to Nielsen.


With February results, Telemundo completed seven consecutive months as the fastest growing Spanish-language broadcast network year over year in Monday through Friday and Monday through Sunday primetime in total viewers. In addition, Telemundo is the fastest growing broadcast network season-to-date, regardless of language, during Monday through Sunday primetime delivering a +24% increase in total viewers (1,241,000 vs. 998,000) and +18% among adults 18-49 (650,000 vs. 550,000).

Season-to-date, Telemundo is delivering two to three times more total viewers and adults 18-49 than Telefutura during primetime. In Monday through Friday prime, Telemundo outperforms Telefutura by +209% among total viewers (1,379,000 vs. 446,000) and +171% among adults 18-49 (708,000 vs. 261,000). In February 2012, Telemundo’s “Fútbol Estelar,” featuring Chivas de Guadalajara, averaged more total viewers (684,000) and adults 18-49 (425,000) than the Fútbol Liga Mexicano performance in primetime on any Spanish-language network. 

This season, Telemundo is narrowing the gap with The CW in primetime and has outperformed The CW at 8pm 58 out of 115 nights among adults 18-49 and 48 nights in adults 18-34. At 9pm, Telemundo has beat The CW 49 out of 115 nights among adults 18-49 and 51 nights in adults 18-34.
