Tate surfaces at MMTC

Former FCC Commissioner Deborah Taylor Tate is one of two new board members at the Minority Media and Telecommunications Council, where she is expected to advocate for increased media ownership opportunities for women and minorities. In addition to this, MMTC praised her as a driving force behind the July 2008 Access to Capital Conference in New York City.

Joining her is Davis Wright Tremaine LLP partner Maurita Coley, who will be Vice-Chair of MMTC. She has had stints with BET, Broadcast Capital Fund and the FCBA on her resume and is chair of MMTC’s Access to Capital Working Group.

RBR/TVBR observation: Tate’s Republican bona fides will no doubt be a valuable asset to MMTC as it pursues its agenda in the coming years.
