Studio Technician II, Req. #12014

Phoenix, AZ – ABC15 in Phoenix, Arizona is looking for a Studio Technician II to operate video equipment to include, but not limited to teleprompter, studio and field cameras, glidecam, and jib during live and taped productions, is able to floor direct and/or stage manage live, taped and field productions and assist in studio maintenance (organization, painting, clean-up), etc. The qualified candidate will also operate and record/edit VTRs, be able to navigate the internet (web), post video and text to KNXV-TV website and be proficient with Final Cut Pro-X and multiple broadcast video codecs.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Two or four year college degree preferred.

Experience: Previous television station experience with live and taped programs a must. Live newscast production a plus. Non-linear editing and capturing experience required. Final Cut Pro-X experience a plus including editing, exporting, and converting/transcoding multiple video formats.

Equipment: Working knowledge of television station production equipment. Working knowledge of studio cameras, teleprompters, lighting and ENG cameras.

License: Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license and provide proof of insurability.

Skills: Teleprompter, Studio and Field Cameras, Jib, VTR Playback. Absolute dependability a requirement. Overtime is required. Must be flexible with hours and days of schedule and possess a willingness to learn. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
