Radio stocks were down and TV stocks were up in Wednesday’s trading on Wall Street, as the Dow Jones Industrials Average dipped 22.05, to 19,804.72, and the Nasdaq Composite was up 16.93, to 5,555.65. Saga Communications enjoyed a 2% gain, to $50.50, while Gray Television increased 3.5%, to $10.40, after the company late Tuesday averted a blackout on Dish Network of its broadcast TV stations.
On a negative note, Cumulus Media retreated 1%, to $1, as iHeartMedia fell 2.65%, to $1.10. Entravision continued to suffer from an analyst’s downgrade on Tuesday, falling 4.5%, to $5.35.
The RBR Radio Index fell 8.738, or 1.51%, to 570.018.
The TVBR Television Index rose 7.289, or 0.78%, to 947.566.
