Sports Radio America (SRA), a Louisville-based online, sports news and talk radio station, has partnered with the American Basketball Association, Inc. in a multi-year, international broadcasting agreement. The renewable agreement extends through the 2017-2018 season.
Starting in November, Sports Radio America will hold the exclusive rights for live Internet radio play-by-play broadcasts for the ABA Game of the Week. Other contractual details remain undisclosed at this time.
“The ABA on SRA Game of the Week will be broadcast live to thousands of fans with the capability of reaching millions worldwide,” said Jim Tirey, SRA director of live events, who played a key role in landing the multi-year contract.
Well I knew this day would come soon. An online radio station getting broadcast rights for the largest sports association in the country if you’re counting the number of teams. Well, hope they do a good job.
