So-so Ho-ho-ho start pressures broadcast stocks – 11/30/09
A late rally in financial stocks pushed the Dow Jones Industrial Average and other broad measures higher, while broadcast stocks failed to recover from early worries that shoppers were spending less as “Black Friday” kicked off the Christmas buying season. The DJIA ended the Monday session up 35 points, or 0.3%, to 10,345. Radio stocks were lower and TV stocks about flat for the day.
The RBR Radio Index was down 8.153, or 4.3%, to 182.206.
The TVBR Television Index was up 0.102, or 0.1%, to 103.772
