Scripps Company will cease publishing longtime Denver institution The Rocky Mountain News after today’s edition, bringing an end to operational losses that were not stemmed by a joint operating agreement with MediaNews Group’s Denver Post. The company will continue its attempt to peddle the newspaper’s physical and intellectual assets.
