Greater Media announced weekend on-air hosts Ryan and Rico will take over the 10a-12 noon slot on Detroit Sports 105.1. The “live and local” move will officially take effect on 7/7. The duo will replace ESPN Radio’s The Herd with Colin Cowherd.
“Ryan and Rico have been with us since day one and have done a phenomenal job with our weekend coverage,” said Greater Media Detroit Market Manager Steve Chessare. “They have had a tremendous run so far and are extremely popular with our dedicated Motor City sports fans.”
“We are fired up to give Detroit Sports fans even more local sports content,” said Detroit Sports 105.1 Program Director Jason Dixon. “Adding Ryan and Rico to the 10 to noon slot is the next step in the evolution of Detroit Sports 105.1. With Mike and Mike, Ryan and Rico, Matt Dery, Drew Lane and Marc Fellhauer , along with the addition of Detroit Pistons Basketball, I could not be more excited about the future of the station.”
