The Randstad U.S. Employee Confidence Index was established a few years before the economic implosion of 2008 – during the third quarter of 2004, in fact – and its latest highest-ever-recorded result is therefore quite meaningful.
Randstad noted that it also recorded the score when actual hiring results as reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics were sluggish.
