It is beyond doubt that the times they are a-changin’. Bob Dylan made that observation back in 1963, and it very much applies to radio now – and if you listen to keen media observer Gordon Borrell, you can also hear more than a hint of Charles Darwin.
According to Borrell, radio is likely to face a thinning of the herd between now and 2024 that could put as many as half of the current census of radio stations out of business.
