KSWG-FM serves the Phoenix AZ market from its outpost northwest of town in Wickenburg. Soon, it will be doing so under the auspices of new ownership. Barna Broadcasting has filed with the FCC to acquire the station.

The buyer is headed by Michael F. Barna. The seller is Circle S Broadcasting Company Inc., owned by Harold and Sharon Shumway among others.

The price will be $480K. $300K is contractually on its way to PCRL Investments LP. After that, an unspecified amount which may in fact be the roundest of figures — $0.00 – will be used to “cure monetary Title Defects and pay prorations.” Any balance left over will be paid to Shianis and Peltzman for the benefit of the sellers.

The station is a Class C3 that goes by the moniker “Real Country 96.3.” It puts out 6.4 kW from 646’. Although it fails to put a primary contour over the actual city of Phoenix, it does manage to put up low single-digit Arbitron numbers in the market.
