Pandora September audience up 67% YOY

PandoraListener hours for Pandora during September were 1.15 billion, an increase of 67% from 687 million during the same period last year. Share of total U.S. radio listening for Pandora in September was 6.53%, an increase from 4.03% at the same time last year.


Active listeners were 58.3 million at the end of September, an increase of 49% from 39.0 million during the same time period last year.

Pandora’s August metrics show listener hours were 1.16 billion, an increase of 70% from 682 million during the same period last year. Share of total U.S. radio listening for Pandora in August was 6.30%, an increase from 3.67% at the same time last year. Active listeners were 56.2 million at the end of August, an increase of 48% from 38 million during the same time period last year.

Listener hours for Pandora during July were 1.12 billion, an increase of 76% from 637 million during the same period last year. Share of total U.S. radio listening for Pandora in July was 6.13%, an increase from 3.51% at the same time last year. Active listeners were 54.9 million at the end of July, an increase of 48% from 37.1 million during the same time period last year.

RBR-TVBR observation: While listener hours were down slightly from August, the trend of increasing share of total U.S. radio listening and active listeners continues to climb.
