FCC Chairman Ajit Pai is welcoming two new staffers to the Office of the Chairman.

Taking the role of Policy Advisor is Nathan Leamer. He joins Pai’s office after serving as Outreach Manager and as a Senior Fellow at R Street Institute, described as “a free-market think tank” at which he managed the institute’s government relations and wrote extensively on emerging technology, innovation policy, and public safety over the past two years.

Before joining R Street, Leamer worked at Generation Opportunity, a millennial advocacy organization. Before that, he served as a legislative aide for Rep. Justin Amash (D-Mich.).

Joining the Office of the Chairman as a Staff Assistant is Carlos Minnix. He joins the Chairman’s Office from the Enforcement Bureau’s Spectrum Enforcement Division, where he was a Staff Assistant. Minnix had served in that Division since 2007.

“I am delighted that Nathan and Carlos have agreed to join our team,” Pai said. “I look forward to working with them as we seek to empower Americans across the country with digital opportunities.”
