The subject of “cord-cutting” is certainly a very touchy one when it comes to cable television networks and cable systems.
This could explain why the weekend release and dissemination of November 2016 Cable Universe Estimates by Nielsen caused an uproar, sending ESPN and an unnamed second client into an all-out assault of the ratings company.
Nielsen responded by retracting the release of its November estimates. However, a source close to the matter says Nielsen has not recalled the numbers, as they very well may be accurate.
