NextRadioCardsEmmis is looking for college students to be part of the NextRadio street team.

Chosen students will get experience helping to build a brand and be a part of something new and growing, according to the company.

Those selected will help educate fellow students about the NextRadio FM cellphone app and increase followers on social media.

College students are “the perfect ambassadors,” to develop a NextRadio app message that shares how radio and digital come together, says NextRadio VP Marketing Maura Kautsky. “We are looking to get college students involved and informed about FM chips in smartphones and to introduce or re-introduce them to live, local radio.”

On March 7, Emmis will launch a contest giving students the chance to conceive, create, and submit a proposal on how they can increase NextRadio brand awareness. NextRadio will select students from the entries to participate in the official NextRadio Street Team Program. Selected students will receive a NextRadio enabled smartphone with a three month phone plan, $100 VISA gift card, NextRadio swag items and NextRadio promotional items to utilize at college events. The first place winner will also receive a $1,000 VISA gift card, second place winner will receive a $500 VISA gift card and third place winner will receive a $250 VISA gift card.

Contest submissions will be accepted March 7 through the 17th at: www.nextradioapp.com/streetteam.
