Who’s Seeking Answers From Hearst Head?

Hearst President/CEO Steven Swartz is set to be the opening event headliner at the 2017 NAB Show, set for Monday, April 24 in Las Vegas.

But, we didn’t know that he’d be quizzed by a top TV news journalist until now.

ABC News Chief Business, Technology and Economics Correspondent Rebecca Jarvis will interview Swartz at the event, set for 9am Pacific in the Westgate Paradise South Ballroom. The Executive Q&A will follow the NAB Distinguished Service Award ceremony, and a State of the Broadcast Industry address from NAB President/CEO Gordon Smith.

The Executive Q&A will be emceed by CBS Sunday Morning host Jane Pauley and is sponsored by Blackmagic Design, an Australian digital cinema company and manufacturer.

Swartz became President/CEO of Hearst on June 1, 2013, and served as its COO since 2011. He was president of Hearst Newspapers from 2009 to 2011, and EVP from 2001 to 2008. From 1995-2000, Swartz was President/CEO of SmartMoney, a magazine venture launched by Hearst and The Wall Street Journal in 1991 with Swartz as founding editor.
