The NAB has filed comments with the FCC in support of a request for a blanket waiver of current construction deadlines for LPTV stations. With the potential that the broadcast industry may have to go out-of-pocket to relocate stations after the broadcast spectrum incentive auction, and the uncertainty that LPTV stations will have channels available to relocate to after the auction, the NAB believes the Commission should not require broadcasters to invest in facilities that may ultimately be abandoned.
