With both houses of Congress under their control, Republicans are expected to take a stab at revamping the now-ancient 1934 Communications Act under the leadership of Senate Commerce Chair-to-be John Thune (R-SD).
The main thrust is expected to be the elimination, to the extent possible, of different rules for different communication platforms.
