Deal-1Among today’s media items, it’s looking like a big year for M&A activity in the US, RTDNA is taking entries and signing members, and AdLarge is offering a new service.

* KPMG’s monthly examination of the merger climate remains positive for the US – 82% of M&A professionals believe that their US clients will initiate at least on acquisition in 2015. The vast majority – 77% — will be valued at $250M or less.

* RTDNA is now accepting entries for its 2015 Edward R. Murrow Awards, knowing that some possible entries may not have even occurred yet. Stories in radio, TV or digital between 1/1/14 and 12/31/14 are eligible, and entries are due by 2/3/15.

* Also, RTDNA has added another corporate member to its ranks. Joining the organization is Heart Television. RTDNA counts it along with Gannett, Nexstar and Sinclair among its television group members.

* Audio sales agency AdLarge Media is expanding into affiliate marketing, and has brought in veteran Jessica Sherman to handle this new aspect of its business. She has stops with Westwood, Dial Global, Bloomberg and others on her resume.
