Marketron / MediascapeMarketron, provider of business software solutions and services for the media industry, announced that a year since its launch in April 2011, Mediascape (its open platform integrating different media systems) has signed up more than 300 media groups, released seven new platform components, forged over 12 strategic partnerships and added 1,200 new stations to its mobile platform.

These achievements have enabled Marketron customers to create new opportunities to capture ad dollars being spent on new media while creating significant operational efficiency.

Mediascape clients include Arbitron, Chase Paymentech, Counterpoint, Dial Global, Media Ocean, Emmis Interactive, Harris, Katz, Premier Networks, STRATA and Triton Digital.

“Mediascape’s open platform has unlocked the door for a better way of doing business,” said Steve Newberry, president and CEO of Commonwealth Broadcasting.  “Connecting our sales software with our traffic and billing system solves a significant business problem for us.   An open platform integrating systems together allows us to get the best of both worlds, choose the best ‘tool’ for the job and not be dependent on innovation from a single company.”

Since the launch of the Mediascape program, Marketron has developed and deployed seven additional platform components and services to the product. They include Master Data Management and Mobile.  In addition, a la carte services – including Mobile Advertising, Network Connect, Media Connect, Web Payment Processing and Proof of Performance – enable media companies  to increase revenue and efficiencies, while reducing costs.
