LBI Media launches Don Cheto nationwide

Don ChetoThe timing is good: In the wake of stations having to deal with the Piolin mess and on the heels of gaining morning radio supremacy in 19 markets, LBI Media has launched” El Show De Don Cheto” into national syndication.  The first radio station signing up the legendary radio broadcaster under LBI Media’s new national syndication offering is Portland’s 93.1 El Rey which previously aired Piolin in morning drive.


For 25 out of the past 42 months, El Show De Cheto has bested direct AM drive competitor Piolin with Adults 18-34 or a whopping 60% of the time. With Adults 18-49, Don Cheto beat Piolin an impressive 24 out of 42 months, or 57% of the time.

2013 continued Cheto’s reign as the renowned personality’s show on KBUE Que Buena Los Angeles performed exceptionally well with the core 18-34’s, taking the #1 spot with Hispanic Adults 18-34,

Hispanic Men 18-34 and Hispanic Women 18-34 from January through June of this year.  In fact, Cheto remains at the top in Los Angeles regardless of language achieving #4 ranking in Adults 18-34, #3 in Men 18-34 and #4 in Women 18-34.

Known as “El Hombre del Vozarrón” (“the loud-voiced man”), Don Cheto  is both a radio and television entertainer as well as accomplished musician.  He launched El Show De Don Cheto in 2005.  Recently, Don Cheto spoofed the “Gangnam Style” video with his own “Ganga Style” version – which has gone on to generate nearly 40 million views:
