Lawmakers Focus on Spectrum

0

US CongressLawmakers in both the House and Senate are focused on freeing up more spectrum.

The House Commerce Committee in particular, is looking to move two bills, one to create financial incentives for federal agencies to release some of their spectrum and the other to direct the FCC to release draft plans for spectrum auctions.

The latter legislation is intended to help establish a more consistent and predictable supply of spectrum going forward through a formal process between Congress, the FCC, the NTIA, and other agencies.
