KKFN re-ups with afternoon driver in Denver

Lincoln Financial Media’s KKFN-FM (104.3 The Fan) has signed former Denver Bronco Alfred Williams to a multi-year contract extension to remain as co-host for “The Drive with Big Al and D-Mac” afternoon sports talk show.


Williams is paired daily from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with long-time Denver personality Darren “D-Mac” McKee to feature the day’s biggest newsmakers and the top names in Denver sports. The show has been the #1  rated afternoon sports talker  in Denver since 2009.

Williams played college football at the University of Colorado, winning a National Championship as the Buffaloes captain in 1990. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2010. After college, Williams had a nine-year NFL career, including two Super Bowl wins with the Broncos.

KKFN features local programming from 5 a.m.-11 p.m. weekdays, including Mike Evans & Joel Klatt, Nate Lundy & Chad Brown, Drew Goodman & Scott Hastings, and Sandy Clough. KKFN is also Denver’s home for play-by-play broadcasts of the NFL playoffs, Super Bowl, March Madness and NCAA football.
