Salem Media Group’s VP/Operations and Dallas market VP/GM John Peroyea has resigned.

Peroyea had oversight of the religious-themed and conservative spoken word-focused company’s KLTY-FM, KWRD-FM, KSKY-AM, KTNO-AM and KEXB-AM in the Dallas-Ft. Worth market.

Peroyea will remain involved with KLTY, however, serving as a consultant.

Salem did not elaborate on Peroyea’s decision.

Peroyea in June 2008 was promoted to the Salem corporate position of VP/Operations, after serving as GM of KLTY, one of the nation’s biggest Christian-themed music radio stations.

He joined Salem in 2000.

Peroyea’s 43-year career in broadcast management began shortly before he acquired his first radio station at the age of 23. Since then, he has served as President of several different radio groups including Progressive Broadcasting Corporation, Narragansett Radio, and Powell Broadcasting Company.
