joe-bilottaThe President & Chief Executive Officer at Buckley Radio celebrates a  45th anniversary on 7/31. Ever since Rick Buckley died three years ago (also on July 31), he’s been operating that company alone, singularly without any equivalent peer or colleague.  He was Rick’s best friend, as they spent every work day for 42 years together.  Cheers to Joe for the body of work he’s done not only for Buckley Radio, but for the radio industry over all these years.

About The Author: Carl has been with RBR-TVBR since 1997 and is currently Managing Director/Senior Editor. Residing in Northern Virginia, he covers the business of broadcasting, advertising, programming, new media and engineering. He’s also done a great deal of interviews for the company and handles our ever-growing stable of bylined columnists.

  1. Congratulations to one of the good guys– a real radio guy and mentor!

  2. Ray Cole Says:

I’m proud to count Joe as one my great friends in the broadcasting business. I was fortunate to have some of my term on the NAB television board overlap his stint on the radio board. He’s a fun fishing buddy but a really lousy golf partner. Proves you can’t have it all. And I can’t begin to count the memories of all the good times spent with Joe, Phil Lombardo, and the incomparable Rick Buckley. But a trip they made to Iowa City for a Hawkeye football game would be at or near the top of the list. So congrats to Joe on his anniversary and, sadly, fond remembrances of our friend Rick who left us far too soon.

  3. Dan Deeb Says:

    Joe,

Congratulations. O M G 45 years. I sincerely appreciate the years I spent with BBC and Rick and You! Those were some of my fondest years in radio.
