The media arm of the Trojans, Wildcats, Bruins and Huskies has elected to have IMS Productions provide a customized mobile production unit to give its multicam productions a boost for nearly 100 live Olympic sport events.

Pac-12 Networks, tied to the Pac-12 Conference of West Coast collegiate athletic programs, will use the mobile production unit known as “Killer Frost.”

Jonathan Leess, EVP/Operations for Pac-12 Networks, said “With IMS Productions’ remote broadcast expertise and their commitment to building a unique, West Coast based IP-transmission mobile unit for our network, we are well positioned to continue our innovative, efficient broadcast methods for years to come.”

IMS Productions works with such sporting events as the Verizon IndyCar Series and PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Built Ford Tough Series. For the Pac-12, it is providing broadcast-quality cameras and related equipment that allows the conference to televise baseball, softball, lacrosse, water polo, track and field, and several other ancillary sports.
