On-Demand iHeart: Brand Expansion

With iHeartMedia reporting a highly positive Q4 — a good sign for the radio industry in 2017 — the very first question from financial analysts who dialed in to the company’s Q4 and full-year 2016 earnings conference call hosted by the company’s top two executives dealt with new services from iHeart, dubbed “iHeartRadio Plus” and “iHeartRadio All Access,” that allow the company’s iHeartRadio app to expand beyond live streams of its own radio stations and that of its partners, in addition to its custom radio formats available through the app.

For Bob Pittman, Chairman/CEO of iHeartMedia, and President/COO/CFO Rich Bressler, the two services are “an example of how we can add-on products at an incremental cost.”
