Pandora Media SVP/Strategic Solutions Heidi Browning has exited the streaming audio company after nearly six years to assume the role of EVP/CMO of the National Hockey League.

browningShe will assume her duties Oct. 10.

The departure from Pandora Media comes as founder/CEO Tim Westergren has made repeated announcements that a tiered, subscription-based streaming service will be on the way — most likely by the end of 2016.

Her responsibilities at Pandora included B2B Marketing Strategy & Positioning, Consumer Insights, Ad Effectiveness Research, Mobile ROI, Thought Leadership Content Development and Social Media Amplification, Category Marketing, Industry Events, Branded Content Development, Artist Partnerships, and Live Music Events.

Prior to joining Pandora, Browning served as EVP/Global Digital Officer of Universal McCann.
