Broadcasters across the state of Georgia will now be guaranteed the ability to continue broadcasting during times of emergency, thanks to the Georgia First Informer Broadcast Act (GFIBA), which went into effect 7/1. GFIBA grants certified broadcasters access to disaster-affected areas for the purpose of insuring transmission of emergency related information to the citizens of Georgia.
