Profit-takers moved in after Thursday’s big stock run-up, but there was enough enthusiasm that prices rose again each time a selling wave took them down on Friday and the day ended with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 23 points, or 0.2%, at 12,231. The S&P 500 was also up, but the Nasdaq Composite fell back below its starting point just before the closing bell. Broadcasting stocks ended lower.
The RBR Radio Index was down 0.893, or 0.3%, to 298.381.
The TVBR Television Index was down 5.439, or 2.1%, at 249.327.
