Fox Tuesday comedy block sees double-digit gains

FOXFOX’s Tuesday comedy block achieved lifts across the board last night. RAISING HOPE (1.7/5) was up +13% from last week in Adults 18-49 and +8% in Total Viewers (3.9 vs. 3.6 Mil), while BEN AND KATE (1.4/4) increased +27% from last week in Adults 18-49 and +21% in Total Viewers (2.9 vs. 2.4 Mil).

At 9pm, NEW GIRL posted a 2.3/6, up +15% from last week in Adults 18-49 and +2% in Total Viewers (4.2 vs. 4.1 Mil).  NEW GIRL was the second-highest rated program of the night in Adults 18-34 and won its half hour in Adults 18-34.

THE MINDY PROJECT closed the night with a 1.5/4, up +15% from last week in Adults 18-49 and +8% in Total Viewers (2.8 vs. 2.6 Mil).

Competition

ABC’s encores of holiday specials How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2.4/7) and Shrek the Halls (2.5/7) were both down -4% from last year. From 9-11pm, Dancing With the Stars (3.0/8) delivered its lowest rated season finale ever, down -27% from last year’s fall finale (4.1/11 on 11/22/11) and -9% from its finale last spring (3.3/9 on 5/22/12).

On CBS, NCIS (3.5/10, up +17%) and NCIS: LA (2.9/7, up +4%) were both up from season lows last week, while Vegas at 10pm (1.6/4) was down -11% below last week (1.8/5) and tied its lowest rating to date.

NBC’s The Voice (3.8/10) was up +12% from last week’s results show (3.4/10). Go On (2.5/6) and The New Normal (1.7/4) were up +19% and +13%, respectively, from their season lows last week (2.1/6 and 1.5/4), while Parenthood (1.8/5) rose +6% week-to-week (vs. 1.7/5).
