FCC Forward Auction Reaches $11.5 Billion

The forward auction, designed to allow the conversion of broadcast television spectrum into wireless broadband networks, is being watched hourly by brokers including Elliot Evers, managing director of San Francisco-based MVP Capital (formerly Media Venture Partners).


But, Evers says the forward auction is still in its early days, and with a “long, long way to go” it’s unwise to read too much into what’s happening right now.
