Flat Thursday On Wall Street Ahead Of Jobs Report

It was a tepid Thursday for stocks as investors await the Friday release of the February 2017 nonfarm payrolls report an hour before the Opening Bell. The Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 2.46, to 20,858.19, while the Nasdaq Composite inched ahead 1.25, to 5,838.81.


Among the key climbers on Thursday is Viacom, which must have a lucky number — it climbed 44 cents, to end at $44.44. Sinclair Broadcast Group enjoyed a $1.30 jump, to $42.90.

TEGNA gained 51 cents, to finish at $26.41, while iHeartMedia continued its positive momentum with a 9-cent improvement, to $1.31.

Among the decliners was Snapchat parent Snap Inc., which slipped a dime, to $22.71. Also down: Cumulus Media, which dipped another 6 cents to end the day at 53 cents.
