FCC Ready To Pay Reverse Auction Winning Bids

0

By way of a Public Notice distributed on Thursday, the FCC’s Incentive Auction Task Force and the Media and Wireless Telecommunications Bureaus have identified each station subject to a winning reverse auction bid in the broadcast television spectrum incentive auction for which an incentive payment is ready to be paid.

Commission staff has directed the U.S. Treasury to make incentive payments for each station listed in an attachment to the Public Notice, and this includes every station subject to a winning bid in the reverse auction—assuming that they provided the FCC sufficient banking information to facilitate payment.

Subsequent public notices will announce when Commission staff has directed the U.S. Treasury to make incentive payments for any additional stations subject to a winning bid that subsequently provide sufficient banking information to facilitate payment.

The first attachment, accessible here, includes such companies as SBS, Entravision, CBS Inc., Gray Television, FOX, Nexstar Media Group, Meruelo Group, NBCUniversal, and two big PBS members: WGBH in Boston and South Florida PBS.

Go-off-air dates were also provided, and this PDF illustrates them.

The earliest off-air dates are Oct. 25 — a little more than three months away.

The vast majority of off-air dates are Jan. 23, 2018.
