SoldThe Original Company is now the proud owner of a Boonville IN radio station. The station serves the Evansville market and will pair up with another FM. Broker: Kalil & Company.

The station is 107.1 WEJK-FM.

The seller was Boonville Broadcasting, headed by JP Engelbrecht of South Central Media fame. The closing of this deal ends his career in radio ownership.

The buyer is The Original Company, headed by Mark and Saundra Lange.

The station is now in a duopoly with WTFX-FM Mount Vernon IN. So it is Original’s second station in Evansville and 12th overall. All of its stations are either in Indiana or Illinois.

The price for WEJK was $350,000.

  1. Two errors here: First, it’s moved in with WYFX and WRCY and the station’s call letters are now WJPS.
