Dielectric installed a high-power TFU series UHF antenna and digiTLine rigid transmission line system in the Panama City, Florida market. The DTV Channel 18 station used a buyer’s agent — DTVPros — which specializes in RF system planning for the purchase.
DTVPros accelerated the project timeline, working with the station and its FCC consulting engineer to develop specifications. Owner Jim Heard chose Dielectric because of the company’s ability to deliver a complete antenna system under tight deadline.
The side-mount, elliptically polarized, directional antenna was engineered in Dielectric’s factory to service UHF DTV Channel 18 with approximately 50kW of input power. Dielectric delivered an antenna system that the installation crew could deploy with minimal time and labor, said Heard.
