Emmy-award-winning journalist Deborah Norville will host the 2011 Golden Mike Award gala in New York on February 28th as the Broadcasters Foundation of America honors Alan Frank, President and CEO of Post-Newsweek Stations.

Norville anchors the nation’s top-rated syndicated newsmagazine, “Inside Edition,” which is seen by nearly five million viewers nationwide, and is shown in 30 foreign countries.  She also is the author of several books, most recently “The Power of Respect: Benefit From the Most Forgotten Element of Success.”

Alan Frank’s selection as the 2011 Golden Mike honoree was announced in October. He has headed the TV group owned by The Washington Post Company since 2000.

The annual event is a fundraiser for the Broadcasters Foundation of America, whose mission is to improve the quality of life and maintain the personal dignity of men and women in the radio and television broadcast profession who find themselves in acute need. The Foundation reaches out across the country to identify and provide an anonymous safety net in cases of critical illness, advanced age, death of a spouse, accident, and other serious misfortune.
