The ever-so-timely Halloween-themed episode of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, titled “Haunted,” also scored its second best performance of the season in adults 18-49 (2.0/5), women 18-49 (2.6/7) and total viewers (4.2mil) ratings ever, behind only its series debut.

VAMPIRE DIARIES ranked second in the hour among women 18-34, females 12-34 (3.0/9) and female teens (2.6/9).

At 9:00p.m., The CW’s SUPERNATURAL scared up another strong performance, matching its best ratings of the season in adults 18-34 (1.4/4) and delivering its second largest audience of the season (2.9 million).

Squaring off against the “World Series” on Fox, The CW scored its best Thursday in more than 2 ½ years (best since March 2007) among adults 18-34 (1.9/5).  Last night marked The CW’s second best performance of the season in women 18-34 (2.2/6), adults 18-49 (1.7/4) and total viewers (3.5mil).
