Community Expands in Florida

SoldCommunity Broadcasters paid $5.9 million for four radio stations in the Destin/Ft. Walton Beach market from Apex Broadcasting.

The four FM stations are: WECQ, WWAV, WHWY and WZLB.

Community Broadcasters LLC, in partnership with Northwood Ventures, currently owns and operates 16 signals in upstate New York as well as 16 radio stations, 7 translators and 3 TV construction permits located in South Carolina. The purchase from Apex brings Community Broadcasters’ total holdings to 46 signals.

MVP Capital, LLC and Kalil & Co. represented Apex Broadcasting in the transaction.
